Please note: I work with companies and products that I truly love and that align with my views. This post contains sponsored content for ALDI. While I may compensated for the content I create, I will only share my authentic opinions, as always.
You guys, I am SO happy that I found ALDI. I had been into the store once a few years ago to allow my youngest son to grab some snacks, but I really was not paying attention! If I had opened my eyes, I would have seen that ALDI should be at the top of my list when it comes to grocery stores. They have affordable, high-quality food at a fraction of the price of other retailers. Recently, I was asked to partner with ALDI and Alex of The Defined Dish for an Instagram Live, where Alex would share an easy recipe for Mexican Street Corn Inspired Chicken Tacos, and I would create a Blackberry Plum Red Wine Spritzer to share.
That was when I really got a glimpse of what ALDI offers! The very first thing I saw was a gluten-free, paleo, non-GMO and vegan snack that was so good that I barely made it out of the parking lot before I ate the entire bag. They were the Simply Nature Coconut Cashew Crisps, and you guys, I would be lying if I said I didn’t head back to the store immediately for several more bags! (In fact, I may or may not have a bag of the Sea Salt Caramel Flavor sitting next to me as I type this, LOL)
The second surprise that I found was that they had a ton of better-for-you options, and so many of them are organic, gluten-free and non-GMO as well!
And thirdly, what surprised me the most was when I ran into the fresh meats and seafood section and found wild caught salmon from Alaska (which you KNOW I recommend constantly when making a salmon dish!)
As I whizzed through the store to pick up the ingredients for Alex’s recipe, as well as my own, I felt like I needed to shout to the world: “Have you been to ALDI people?! And if you have, why did you keep all this goodness a secret from me?!”
But I digress. The whole reason for this post is to share the lovely and refreshing Red Wine Spritzer that I shared on the Instagram Live. You guys, it is so good, and you will love the late summer/early fall seasonal twist. Here it is!
