Make Your Eyeliner Last All Day!
So many people ask me how to make their eyeliner last longer. Especially in this summer heat! They say they have tried everything, and they probably have. Lots of people buy the longest lasting, waterproof, most indestructible eyeliner, but what they fail to remember, is that the eyeliner is waterproof. Not oil proof!
Therefore when you apply an eyeliner, if you want it to last all day long, you have to make sure that you control the oil! Today here on the blog, I explain how to do this and what products are my favorite!
Begin by setting your concealer with a thin layer of powder. This will keep the oils in the concealer from moving around and settling when your eyes move during the day while you’re making facial expressions. This will set the concealer and keep it from dissolving your eyeliner!
Second, you’ll want to put on a layer of eyeshadow primer. Many people use an eyeshadow primer, but they don’t put it around the entire eye. In my case, my eyes are very oily. So I’ve learned to put the primer all around the entire lash line and the eyelid. This includes the area around the roots of my lashes- top AND bottom.
The third thing thing that you have to do, is SET your eyeshadow primer with a powder eyeshadow. This will absorb the oil around the lid. And therefore, the oil will not melt away your eyeliner! Wherever you put your primer, you want to SET IT with eyeshadow. That means taking a brush and patting it around the entire eye- including the lash line where you placed your primer.
And thats it! I challenge you to try it with just one eye, and see what a difference it makes!!
